International Play Association - India Information

International Play Association (IPA) is an international non-governmental organization whose purpose is to protect, preserve and promote the child’s right to play as recognized in Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. IPA-World has active members in over 50 countries, including IPA-India, which was recently formed in January 2019 through a democratic process with leading play advocates in India. The membership database of IPA-India constitutes of key people from public and private sectors from varied fields including psychology, architecture, planning, development, education and health. In line with IPA-World’s mission, IPA-India strives to bridge academia, practitioners, play-workers and advocates to promote children’s play rights.
