International Leadership Academy (ILA) Information

At the International Leadership Academy (ILA) Beijing our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower senior high school students who aim to attend top universities abroad, and aspire to become the leading experts in their chosen future careers. We achieve this by creatively combining the best that international curricula have to offer, with structured programs on applied wisdom, effective study skills, and dedicated university admissions and guidance counseling. The world is more complex than it has ever been. Students now face more unstructured and dynamic information than has ever been the case in human history. The ILA’s vision is to tackle and overcome the challenges of educating the 21st Century learner in the digital age. At the ILA schools, we inspire students to define an authentic purpose. We teach them how to filter, harness and apply relevant information to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of their generation and to improve the world we live in. Our philosophy is encapsulated in the ILA’s Wisdom for Life vision, which is a contemplation of both western and Chinese concepts of wisdom. Students are taught to take nothing for granted, to question knowledge, to imaginatively visualize alternative future scenarios, to demonstrate concern for society when pursuing self-advancement, and make first rate decisions. With the Wisdom for Life vision percolating through all aspects of the students’ learning experiences in the ILA, they leave school to face life’s challenges successfully and become experts in their chosen fields of endeavor.
