International Academy of Cardiology Information

The International Academy of Cardiology (IAC) was founded by cardiologist Asher Kimchi, MD in order to promote global research in cardiovascular medicine through the support of scientific meetings and publications. Over the past 28 years, the IAC has organized 25 international congresses on heart failure and heart disease in seven countries around the globe. The meetings have attracted over 18,000 physicians, scientists, and other health care professionals from more than 50 countries. These medical meetings have resulted in over 15,000 published peer-reviewed abstracts and the production of multiple educational products, including the Journal of Heart Failure, the Journal of Heart Disease, supplement issues for the Journal CARDIOLOGY and 12 books. The primary educational meeting of the IAC is the World Congress on Heart Disease. The next IAC 24th World Congress on Heart Disease, Annual Scientific Sessions 2020, will take place at The Westin Copley Place, Boston, MA, USA from July 24-26, 2020. The Congress provides the opportunity for a comprehensive overview of the latest research developments in cardiovascular medicine, primarily in the areas of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, Coronary Artery Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Lipoprotein Disorders, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease, Cardiac Arrhythmias and Electrophysiology, Sudden Cardiac Death, Pediatric Cardiology, Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiac Surgery, Heart Transplantation, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Measurement of Outcome and Quality of Cardiovascular Care. Plans for this CME meeting are progressing extremely well, and as of now over 150 of the most distinguished cardiologists and scientists have agreed to join the faculty participating in this Congress. Papers will be presented in the form of plenary sessions, symposia and posters, and will include superb scientific material originating from numerous laboratories around the globe.
