Interledger Foundation Information

What would a universal network for sending value, independent of any company or currency, look like? How could this new network impact financial inclusion and spur innovations in digital finance and services? The Interledger Protocol (ILP) was invented to solve these questions. The Interledger Foundation (ILF) has been created to champion the global adoption of interoperable payments based on Interledger technology. The Interledger Foundation’s mission is to develop, support, and steward community and technical infrastructure for the Interledger protocol and related technologies. It will promote creativity, innovation, and inclusion by building on the work already done to create Interledger, creating and maintaining more open standards and open source technologies and connecting diverse constituencies to promote these goals.
