Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware, Inc., (ICHDE) serves as a catalyst for revitalizing and strengthening neighborhoods by providing sustainable housing and homeownership services that support low- and moderate- income households, empower residents for leadership, and promote individual and community asset building. ICHDE is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit Delaware Corporation, and certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), with over one-third of the Board of Directors representing the people they serve. Our community residents and clients meet Federal HUD guidelines for very low and moderate income. Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware revitalizes and strengthens neighborhoods, provides affordable and sustainable housing, facilitates homeownership services that support low and moderate income households, empowers residents for community leadership, and promotes individual and community asset building. We help Delawareans become educated and equipped homeowners through homebuyer education and financial literacy, achieve financial stability through foreclosure prevention and financial counseling, and become an active part in community leadership by participating in resident-led associations and other community building activities. We believe that all Delawareans deserve access to affordable housing and to reside in safe and thriving communities. We believe that homeownership builds family and community empowerment.
