The International Bull Evaluation Service (Interbull) is a permanent subcommittee of the International Committee for Animal Recording (ICAR). Interbull is the worldwide network providing genetic information services for improvement of livestock. The Interbull Centre is a section of the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) that acts as the operational unit of Interbull and accomplishes the organisation’s vision by coordinating communication, research and services among 30 participating countries. Since 1 November 2018, the Interbull Centre is an EU Reference Centre, assisting the European Commission and EU Member States in issues related to bovine breeding and genetics and performance recording.
