Inter-American Coal is a leading supplier and producer of high-quality thermal coal, metallurgical coal, and coke from South America. Through integration of coal mining, trading, marketing, and logistics, we have become a dominant competitor in the Colombian coal industry. Headquartered in Bogotá, Inter-American Coal has distinguished itself by investing in key logistical and transportation assets in Colombia and Venezuela, which allow us to economically export a high quality product from Colombia and Venezuela's interior. Not only do we source and produce the coal and coke, we can transport, store, process and deliver the product to you. The founders of Inter-American Coal began exporting coal from Norte de Santander in 1985, and from Cundinamarca and Boyacá in 1989. Since then, Inter-American Coal has developed a customer base that is diversified both geographically and by industry. In 2014, we sold 1.2 million tonnes of coal and coke to a dozen customers in South America, Central America, North America and Europe.
