Intensity are one of Europe’s leading lighting design and consultancy services, headed by Paul Donegan. Paul has worked in the field of lighting for over 30 years and has experience in the production, art and science of illumination. His particular areas of expertise are Retail Lighting Design and LED Product Design. He has a Masters of Science Degree in The Built Environment (Light & Lighting); the only qualification at this level available in Europe. He has also completed all of the lighting education courses offered over the years by the Lighting Industry Federation. He began his lighting career in 1986, assembling light fittings on a workbench on a small assembly line. This ‘hands-on’ experience has proven immensely helpful in his subsequent career; knowing how luminaires are produced is the key to knowing their capabilities and limitations. His career then led him into production and purchasing management, logistics, sales & marketing, lighting design, luminaire design, lighting consultancy, product design and the establishment and subsequent sale of his 2 companies in 2007. After his earn-out period had finished in March 2010, he started Intensity.
