FBi Buildings, Inc., is a pre-engineered post-frame design and engineering, manufacturing, and self-perform construction company serving agriculture, livestock, suburban, commercial, and industrial markets that has built more than 20,000 pre-engineered building structures for producers, land owners, and investors in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. Since the founding of the business in 1958 by Edwin A. Bahler, FBi Buildings has led the post-frame industry in innovation, quality, and responsiveness by maintaining centralized control over the entire process from planning, design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and construction. This provides total accountability for quality and enables FBi Buildings to respond quickly to customers' needs. Wick Buildings, Inc. is a privately held Wisconsin company founded in 1954 by John F. Wick. John Wick is a Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a background in agriculture and advanced schooling in business and engineering. In the early days, the post-frame buildings were used mainly on farms in the Midwest as replacement for the two-story dairy barn. Today, Wick Buildings consist of a wood-frame structure covered with sheet steel and/or other exterior materials such as brick and block. Clear span trusses up to 100 feet in width are fabricated. Siding, roofing, liners and trim are formed and cut from rolled steel at Wick’s production facilities. These components, together with the necessary pre-cut lumber, doors, windows and a variety of options, are loaded on semi-trailers and delivered to the buyer’s site. The components are then constructed into buildings on-site by company or local crews trained in the Wick way of building.
