My business journey began in 1996 while working as a chef. After the birth of my first son, I wanted more time with my young family—ideally doing something connected to my passion for food. This led me to start a manufacturing company, formulating and introducing innovative products to major brands and supermarket chains. After a few challenging years (and a few more kids), the business had grown to a team of 75 with $10 million in turnover. In 2013, a major setback struck when $5 million worth of products went unpaid by a large pharmaceutical company. During this difficult period, my focus began shifting toward Purewellness—a brand I had quietly started in 2006 as a hobby, inspired by my love for food and health. Jason & Abby By 2016, I moved away from exclusively manufacturing for large supermarket chains and nutritional brands, opening retail stores to connect directly with our customers. The brand gained presence in all major retail channels—until COVID-19 forced our stores to close. Refusing to give up, in 2021 I relaunched Purewellness online, offering wholesale and retail superfoods, vitamins, and botanical extracts sourced globally at the best possible prices. Today, with a dedicated team of 16, we continue to grow and serve customers across Australia. Healthy Inspirations provides a unique weight loss and fitness offering for women 35 to 65+. UNIQUE It's the only place a women can go to get a combination of: 1. No hunger, personalised weight loss program, 2. Face-to-face weight loss program coaching & 3. a range of individual and small group exercise options - all in a small friendly women's only centre. RESULTS To date, over 10,000 members have lost over 150,000 kilos. Healthy Inspirations has developed a unique weight loss program called ICT Reset, that is based upon individual carbohydrate tolerance. The main benefit is predictable weight loss without hunger - using real food available in any supermarket. TOTAL CONVENIENCE Members can come whenever they like for their individual workout or come to our small classes. New centres are also offering 24/7 access to members with a range of added exercise options.
