Dr. Watson has a special interest and advocacy flame to help mothers care for their family members. To this end, she created commentary, a bill request proposal submitted to a Pennsylvania state representative for needed federal and state level healthcare changes. Specifically, it addressed the changes needed to protect children in direct laws relating to the mental health system, court systems and guidelines/protocols in the school system. The commentary made its way all the way to the floor of congress where it was formally presented. The mission of Martha Watson PhD's innovative therapeutic applications, professional trainings and IT software applications is to promote a holistic, Person-Centered and Family-Centered Care approach to medical and mental healthcare. To this end, she offers expanded healing approaches, including family caretaker services, to hospital inpatients, criminal justice departments and educators through inter-departmental collaboration.
