Inside Pensions is an independent pension consultancy, established to fulfil a need within the pensions industry for truly independent services. Our key focus is providing trustee secretariat services. WHY OUTSOURCE SECRETARIAT? Traditionally, a secretariat service for many trustee boards has been provided by in-house pension managers or finance managers. However, increasingly we are aware that they are finding it difficult to manage the conflicts between their responsibilities to their trustee boards and their roles as internal corporate managers. We believe that a scheme secretary, who is free from conflict with other advisers, service providers and the sponsoring company, can provide a better service for trustee boards. This is particularly so during potentially difficult periods such as funding negotiations, covenant reviews and corporate activity. Inside Pensions is an independently owned company. We have no links with other pension advisory or financial service companies and therefore no conflicts of interest.
