Gasolfin is the first-ever catalytic fixed-bed technology converting C4–C11 naphtha's (including pentane's) into 70–80% light olefins (ethylene, propylene, butylene), with 1.5–3.0x lower CO₂ emissions than competing technologies (steam crackers, FCC and PDH). Gasolfin's catalytic system comprising of modified zeolites guarantees long operating cycle lengths by minimizing coke yield (<0.5 wt%). This low coke yield enables operation in a simple, fixed-bed configuration, relying on proven, off-the-shelf equipment. Gasolfin converts any naphtha regardless of source, proven by over 25 commercial feedstock test programs, and offers highly attractive returns and short pay-back times (2-3 years) across all key refining geographies. The technology emits 1.5–3.0x less CO2/tonne of feed vs. current technologies due to low coke sensitivity of the patented catalyst (<0.5 wt%), lower heat of reaction (naphtha range), narrow feed slate (excluding feed boiling over the naphtha range), and hybrid product recovery section (heat integration). Gasolfin enables conversion to both conventional and sustainable chemicals to: 1. Solve margin pressures in refining while reducing CO2 & energy costs: Gasolfin unit size of 100-1000 ktpa fits any refinery or petrochemical plant, providing attractive returns and short pay-backs while halving CO2 emissions across all key refining geographies. 2. Provide a transition technology to green, CO2–neutral base chemicals: Gasolfin provides a capital-light route to green base chemicals, with the same unit converting bio-naphtha, pyrolysis oil or e-naphtha without modification or risk of stranded assets.
