Innovative Data Services Information

Innovative Data Services is a startup company making use of space technology to provide new and enhanced services to the transportation and security sector. The company is a subsidiary of ISIS - Innovative Solutions In Space, a small company dedicated to developing and producing cost-effective small satellite systems and payloads. The expertise inside ISIS led to the development of key technology for monitoring ships across the ocean. IDS was formed to take this technology and turn it into a useable service for key players in the maritime domain. As of October 2009, IDS is incubated at the ESA Space Incubator on the campus of the European Space Agency's technological center ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. IDS aims to have short development cycles for new services and to pioneer new application together with other stakeholders. Innovation and product development are essential in today's fast-moving society and form the core of the company's strength.
