In partnership with industry, IBSA strengthens the training, upskilling and reskilling of workforces. IBSA Group is establishing the new Manufacturing Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) to support manufacturing skills across Australia. IBSA is setting up the JSC under its new name of the Manufacturing Industry Skills Alliance. The JSC will be an industry-owned and industry-led Jobs and Skills Council and we are excited to get on with the task of boosting manufacturing skills for employers and workers. IBSA was the Skills Service Organisation for the manufacturing industry since 2004 and has remained an integral part of the VET sector through its training standards development. It focused its efforts on understanding industry trends and future workforce needs through consultation and research and has used this expertise to help convert industry skills needs into national occupational standards.
