Insectta is Singapore's first ento-powered biotech company. Our patented extraction technology produces high-value biomaterials for the pharmaceutical, organic electronics, personal wellness industries, and more.
At the forefront of our solutions is sustainably-produced chitosan and melanin, with better functionality and yield than ever before. We're improving accessibility to these high-quality ingredients for manufacturers looking to optimise both performance and circularity.
Founded in 2018, Insectta has grown from Singapore's very first insect company, to the world's first chemical manufacturer specialising in ento-biomaterials. We've raised $2.4M in funding, that has allowed us to bring our technology to scale and our biomaterials to the world.
The future of circular biomaterials is looking fly - join us as we revolutionise the landscape of our healthcare and electronics
AgriProtein is leading a new industry called nutrient upcycling.
Our mission is to close the loop in food production. We use our technology to leverage the natural capabilities of the black soldier fly; feeding its larvae existing organic waste to create a sustainable, natural protein for pets, livestock and fish.
Our industrial-scale bioconversion process takes organic waste streams from food factories, supermarkets, farms and restaurants, and recycles these into valuable products including: an insect based complete protein (MagMeal™), a versatile, natural oil (MagOil™) and a rich residual soil conditioner (MagSoil™).
AgriProtein has been developing its technology since 2008. In 2016, we opened the world’s first industrial scale insect facility in Cape Town, South Africa with the capacity to divert 100 tonnes of organic waste from landfill per day and produce over 2,000 tonnes of MagMeal™ per year.
AgriProtein is a subsidiary of the Insect Technology Group.
