SAE International is a global association committed to being the ultimate knowledge source for the engineering profession. By uniting over 138,000 engineers and technical experts, we drive knowledge and expertise across a broad spectrum of industries. We act on two priorities: encouraging a lifetime of learning for mobility engineering professionals and setting the standards for industry engineering. We strive for a better world through the work of our philanthropic SAE Foundation, including programs like A World in Motion® and the Collegiate Design Series™.

Since the first Great Fair of 1851, World Expos have become one of the world’s largest and oldest mega-events, attracting millions of visitors who explore and discover pavilions, exhibits and cultural events staged by hundreds of participants including nations, international organisations and businesses. In winning the right to host Expo 2020, the UAE and its people set upon a journey that will place the country at the centre of the international stage on the eve of its Golden Jubilee, engaging the global community and creating an immediate and meaningful cultural, social and economic impact. Not only will this be the first time that a World Expo is hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA), it will also be the first Expo in which the majority of visitors stem from beyond the nation’s borders, heralding the most inclusive and international event in World Expo history. At the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai lies our belief in the power of partnership and collaboration in pioneering new paths of development and innovation. This is reflected throughout the event, from our theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, to the strategic public and private sector partnerships that will be built during the planning and delivery of the event, the innovative site design, and the tangible solutions that Expo 2020 Dubai will deliver around our sub-themes of Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity, on the road to 2020 and beyond.

The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) is an international technical association representing iron and steel producers, their allied suppliers and related academia. The association is dedicated to advancing the technical development, production, processing and application of iron and steel. AIST was established on January 1, 2004, by the merger of two longstanding societies, the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (AISE) founded in 1907 and the Iron & Steel Society (ISS) founded in 1974. The best practices of both predecessor organizations were incorporated into AIST to create a strong international, member-based technical organization that can sustain itself in an environment of continual change. AIST’s professional and student member base totals over 19,000, representing more than 70 countries and including engineers, operators, corporate administrators, researchers and educators. 43% of AIST members are industry suppliers, 33% producers, 21% students and 3% academia. AIST members actively participate within the association through technology divisions, member chapters, board of directors and the AIST Foundation. AIST is committed to presenting superior technical meetings, conferences, exhibits and publications to better serve those involved in the iron and steel community, including steel manufacturers, suppliers, consumers and academics. AIST’s major international conference, AISTech, consists of more than 500 technical presentations, over 600 exhibiting companies and 8,000-10,000 attendees. This annual event brings together technologies from around the world, promoting a global network to help steel producers and suppliers compete in today’s global marketplace.
