Since 1997 inno-focus works with bluechip companies of nearly every industry in developing new innovation strategies, improving innovation management and ideation processes. inno-focus leads the "idea to market"​ process for dedicated products and services. 2002 inno-focus entered the open innovation market by running open innovation workshops and co-creation projects. 2010 inno-focus started the "Innovationskraftwerk"​ (www.innovationskraftwerk.de) under the umbrella of the "land of ideas"​ initiative and leads its steering committee. The Innovationskraftwerk is the first crowdsourcing platform in Germany thatruns ideations in the area of business, science and society. Since 2012 Matthias Wendt - one of the director of inno-focus - is member of the board of one of the most important regional open innovation initiatives in Germany: the leading edge cluster MAI Carbon.
