Twisters Gymnastics Club was formed in November 2009 and officially opened its doors in April 2010. The club is the result of the vision and passion of its owner Sarah Reid. Sarah originated from Tasmania where she was a gymnast herself from the age of 2 - 18 years. She moved to Melbourne in 2000 to study, completing a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts (dance) and a Masters of Business (Sport Management). Throughout her time studying, she worked at Waverley Gymnastics Centre for nine years, both as a coach and manager until branching out to open Twisters Gymnastics in 2010. Twisters Gymnastics opened its doors on a Saturday with a membership of 25 children and in seven years has grown to over 1,400 members. Currently Twisters Gymnastics offers recreational classes, kinder aged classes, a tumbling program, a cheerleading program, a Team Gym program, a Gymstar stream and competitive gymnastics. We continue to extend the classes offered as well adding new and exciting equipment to our club as we grow.
