The Inner Development Goals is a global movement of researchers, educators, practitioners, organisations, changemakers, governments, and communities exploring what it means to create change from the inside out. The challenges we face, from climate change and polarisation to loneliness and social fragmentation, are not separate problems. They are shaped by the systems we have built and the ways we have learned to see ourselves and the world. Changing those systems from the outside matters. But lasting transformation also calls for something else: the capacity to stay present in complexity, collaborate across difference, and act with courage, humility, and care. At the centre of this movement is the Inner Development Guide: a globally produced, open-source guide of 25 science-based skills and qualities that offers a practical language for this work. Beyond the individual, inner development lives in classrooms, boardrooms, communities, and governments around the world. Our role at IDG is to steward this ecosystem: safeguarding the integrity of the research, nurturing shared learning, and creating the conditions for collaboration across a diverse and growing global community.
