In the heart of the Swiss Jura, where the mountains rise high and the valleys run deep, lies a world where time stands still. It is here, in the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, that Initium started in 2015, in Le Noirmont. Its two passionate founders took to heart to empower people to achieve a unique high-end creation by themselves while sharing their passion for Swiss watchmaking. It all started with a unique experience offering an immersion into the world of swiss watchmaking through workshops going from initiation to watchmaking to the creation of a personalized timepiece. Welcoming Creators from all around the world, Initium expanded in 2017 by opening a new site in Geneva. Nestled in the heart of the old town, where the cobbled streets wind and the ancient buildings tower above, lies our workshop. A few years later, Initium took a bold step forward by developing a watch kit that would allow people from all around the world, to create their own high-end, custom-made watch. The kit was carefully crafted to include all the necessary components and tools, as well as a high-end briefcase to carry it all in. In 2022, Initium wanted to give its Creators an experience that would be truly their own and launched its online configurator. A tool that could let their imagination run wild, exploring every possibility and combination of movements, cases, dials, hands, and straps. And with every click and tweak, it allows them could see their vision come to life in real-time as if it were already ticking away on their wrist. A journey that would lead them to a watch that is perfectly, beautifully, unmistakably theirs.
