Ingleside Police Station Information

The Ingleside Police Stations Community Police Advisory Board or CPAB was formed in conjunction with the adoption of the San Francisco Police Effectiveness Review Forum; or as known as the PERF Project. The PERF project was a two year study on best practices in all phases of police departments across the nation and from cities such as London, England and Sao Paulo, Brazil. One of the recommendations of the community policing of the PERF Project was to create 12 CPABS which also includes the City-wide CPAB. The Ingleside CPAB was formed in the spring of 2009. The recommendation was to select no more than 25 members of the community who live in the Ingleside Police District. Those members consist of community members, merchants, neighborhood associations members, and other interested people. Today, the Ingleside CPAB consists of twelve members who work collaboratively on many issues including working with the Ingleside officers working group to address issues and concerns within the community. The following are some of the issues and projects that the Ingleside CPAB has or is working on:Crocker Amazon Park Working Group:Crocker Amazon Park Safety Awareness project initiated problems such as personal crimes, theft of belongings from sports athletes and sports fans. The goal was to educate park users on personal safety and bring recommendations to SF Recreation and Parks on lighting, after hours parking lot lock up, and fun for all users including dog walkers, Tai Chi members, baseball and softball athletes, football athletes, soccer athletes, etc. Youth Forum:This forum is geared to bringing youth and public safety officers together in dialogue and role playing within the community and the City.
