What we do? AppsMeter delivers a series of reports and analytics that are based on data from Apple AppStore. We try to slice, dice and summarize the data. Currently, we provide the data in Excel Spreadsheet format and organize reports by categories similar to categories in the AppStore. Who wants this? Stats on AppStore are scarce. Apple is renowned for its secrecy and they have good reasons to behave that way. However, professionals like bloggers, analysts and even highly-curious students want more than just occasional update on the number of apps in the AppStore. There is a need for data that can feed research and understanding of mobile apps markets. This is where we come in. And Why? How can you write about applications if you’re not fully aware of what’s out there? How can you develop an application before you know who the competition is and what they do? To solve this, there are reports that provide all kinds of data to facilitate your research. The data is available in an easy-to-ready Excel Spreadsheet. (OK, maybe easy-to-read is an overstatement, but when you are dealing with thousands of apps per category, easy-to-read is a pretty challenging thing to accomplish. We promise to keep listening to your feedback and improving)
