With increased connecetivity in society and among your customers it is more important than ever to actually do what you say you are going to be doing. If you want to put you customers in the center, you have to go all the way. How do I start with a customer centric strategy? Do I call marketing to get us a new slogan? NO. Should we go on an away day to develop a new vision and mission? Maybe. If there is one thing you should start by doing and put at your core activities it is listening to you customers. Just listen… sounds simple right. I know Henry Ford is often quoted for saying that if he listened to his customers he would have built a faster horse. But for 99% of the improvements you can make that directly affect the happiness of your customers they often have the answer – you just have to have the guts to ask them. We know it is difficult to ask for feedback and sometimes it can be painful to be on the receiving end, but you come out the other end stronger and ready to blast you competition away.
