Founded in 2019 and based in Berlin, Inflection is a first-check venture firm backing engineering moonshots at the idea stage — hard technologies that are difficult to engineer, hard markets that are unfashionable, hard-to-underwrite companies where no playbook exists. Initial cheques of $0.5M–$2M at idea, pre-seed and seed across computation, photonics, semiconductors, cryptography, physical AI, robotics, manufacturing, energy, resilience and aerospace, favouring founders with European roots.
