Optical Alignment is defined as taking mechanical measurements with optical tooling. It is a sub-category of the Industrial Measurement trade. Our optical tooling consists of precision optical instruments fitted with tooling accessories and specialty targeting fixtures. Measurements are taken in .001" increments (.025mm) and angles measured to 1 second. We also have distance measuring capabilities to 1/32" (1 mm). Most of our instruments are manufactured by WILD/LEICA, with other specialty instruments and equipment from BRUNSON and K&E. Precision fixtures are designed and fabricated "in house" for quality control and proprietary reasons. We also provide laser shaft alignment services. Tool sets are completely portable. Although most travel is done over-the-road, our equipment can also be air-freighted.
