Infimer is committed to providing solutions for the global waste problem, by turning the waste into valuable new materials and products. Infimer has developed a breakthrough technology and innovative processes for treating unsorted municipal waste and turning it into a novel thermoplastic composite material – Infimer® – which can be used as a raw material for the plastics industry. Infimer conducted several production trials with the new technology. The Infimer® product was tested by a large plastics company, and as a result, Infimer received significant orders from that company. Infimer is now building its first production line in order to supply these orders and future demands. Infimer invests significant resources to further developing its technology to produce Infimer®, and in addition, leverages its patent pending processes for waste treatment to develop more efficient and economic production processes for products such as biogas and biofuel . In March 2015, the company completed a merger, by means of a share exchange, with the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange-listed company, EZ Energy Ltd. Following completion of the merger, Infimer became a wholly-owned subsidiary of EZ Energy, while Infimer's shareholders became the controlling shareholders of EZ Energy (71%). On the transaction date, EZ Energy had about US$ 2.4 million in cash. On June 18, 2015, the name of the company was changed from EZ Energy Ltd. to Infimer Ltd. After completion of the merger, Infimer began designing and building a dedicated production line in order to start supplying the open orders. In May 2015, Infimer registered in the USA two patents (PCT) and five provisional applications for patents relating to methods of treating municipal waste and producing thermoplastic materials, biogas and biofuels from the treated waste.
