IndyCanvas Information

Indy Canvas provides boat seat cushions and boat interiors for all different kinds of sailboats. Have you ever thought of how many boat classifications there are? Just under the heading of ‘sailboat’ there are three large classifications with multiple sub classifications therein. It is common knowledge that a sailboat is a boat propelled mostly or completely by its sails. Our services are not limited to just one type of boat, however. We manufacture and provide products for all types of sailing boats including keelboats, dinghies and multihull - both catamarans and trimarans. A keelboat is a classification referring to two sub types of boats: the first is a riverine cargo-capable working boat whereas the other is a small to midsize recreational sailing yacht. A dinghy refers to the small boat that is towed by a larger boat. An example of this would be the small boats you see strapped to the side of larger boats. Additionally, the term dinghy can also refer to small racing yachts or open sailing boats as well. The last classification of sailboats which we have considerable experience working with is multihull. Just as the name suggests, it is referring to a ship (also known as a vessel, craft or boat) with more than one hull (the watertight body of a ship). This is where custom boat interiors come in! At Indy Canvas, we can make you anything you can dream up! We encourage you to look at the images on our Facebook page to see the beautiful custom, one of a kind, boat interiors that we have designed and manufactured. No matter what kind of boat you’re sailing, you will need boat seat cushions, and just all around boat cushions to make your sailing comfortable and enjoyable. Indy Canvas takes pride in creating the most functional and debonair boat seat cushions. If you are new to boating, it is important to know that the cushions created for boats differ greatly from those on furniture in your home. Boat cushions on boats must be water and weather resistant. They must be able to hold their shape and color through much abuse from the elements while still being plush and comfortable to relax on. Boats are not the only place that weather resistance upholstery technology comes in handy. Indy Canvas can also create all types of outdoor seating in every shape, color, size, and design you can think of!
