IndyBioSystems is one of the first companies to prepare, develop, deploy and market Systems Biology tools for the educational and pharmacological marketplaces. The Institute for Systems Biology defines Systems Biology as "the study of an organism, viewed as an integrated and interacting network of genes, proteins and biochemical reactions which give rise to life. Instead of analyzing individual components or aspects of the organism, such as sugar metabolism or a cell nucleus, systems biologists focus on all the components and the interactions among them, all as part of one system." IndyBioSystems has acquired and developed tools that will be best of breed and first to market in Systems Biology. IndyBioSystems is a contract research firm. Intellectual property will be developed internally and acquired via partnerships with American research educational institutions. The firm currently has one piece of intellectual property acquired in each of the described methods. The short term objectives of IndyBioSystems are to acquire the capital necessary to commercialize its existing intellectual properties while continuing to create and attain the next holdings and/or inventions. The long term objectives are to create a systemic method for maximizing value on the research in our holdings and returning individual products and their associated technologies back to the marketplace for acquisition by other companies with a strict focus on managing the entire product cycle.
