DR has approximately 3000 employees and offers a wide variety of career opportunities in areas such as journalism, content production, technology and new media. The Lutheran World Federation puts faith into action for a more just, peaceful and reconciled world. As a global communion or family of 150 churches in the Lutheran tradition, it represents over 78 million Christians in 99 countries. The LWF acts on behalf of member churches to provide humanitarian assistance, to advocate for the protection of human rights, and offers dialogue in theology, interfaith and inter-church and ecumenical relations. LWF work is recognized for the quality of its humanitarian emergency response by its partners, including UNHCR and Islamic Relief Worldwide. It serves people in need irrespective of ethnicity, religion or gender. In developing countries, it works to improve livelihoods, education, gender relations and mitigation of climate change. The LWF is supported financially by churches and other partners, including the United Nations and governments agencies. The LWF Communion Office comprises staff who are based in Geneva and worldwide. In all, 65 staff members work in this office. In its country programs, the LWF has a workforce comprised of international staff members, national and refugee staff and volunteers, of which over 99% are locals.

Der findes over 2.000 kirker i Danmark, og meget af kirkens arbejde er knyttet til en sognekirke. Men folkekirken er også til stede mange andre steder: På hospitalet, på hospice, på gaden, på uddannelsessteder, ved ulykker og kriser, i felten, i fængslet.
