Indianola Church of Christ Information

The Indianola Church of Christ is a nondenominational, independent community of believers connected as a free association with Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible and wear no name but Christian. We wear the name Christian in the same sense that "the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch." We believe that Christ is the Head of His church, and therefore every Christian is part of His body. We do not believe that we are the only Christians, but we earnestly strive to be Christians only. We attempt to speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent. We take the Bible and the Bible alone as our only rule of faith and practice. We are committed to maintaining unity in the essentials, to allowing freedom in matters of opinion, and demonstrating love in all things. We are committed to the Word of God. Jesus is the "Word made flesh", the "Living Word", and we are committed to Him. Through His Holy Spirit, God has inspired men to accurately reveal His will and person in the scriptures. According to His promise, the Holy Spirit lives in all Christians, assuring salvation, convicting of sin, and helping the believer to walk by faith. We are also committed to the fulfillment of the Great Commission and obedience to the Great Commandment in this generation.
