IndePro, formerly Auton Insurance, was founded in 1980 by original owner, James Auton. Jim, as he is affectionately known by his friends, peers, and colleagues, spent the better part of his professional career tirelessly working to protect the residents and business owners of Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area, building a well respected and regionally recognized agency, specializing in property and casualty insurance as well as life insurance products. In 2003 Jim opted to focus his time and energy in the Church, as Deacon for St. Boniface & James in Ludlow, KY and sold the business to the current owners. The connection to current ownership actually dates back to 1983, when Jim was appointed by Mike Walker to write for one of our partner carriers. Mike & Jim worked together for a number of years developing a strong professional relationship and friendship. And ultimately when it came time for Jim to move on, Mike was there to step in and move the business forward. Mike's eldest son and daughter, Michael Walker and Maria Ante respectively, also joined the agency, and make up the rest of the ownership and management team. In 2011, Auton Insurance purchased another longstanding local insurance agency, Dills Insurance. In mid 2015, the decision was made to retire the legacy names of Auton and Dills, and to move forward as IndePro. Today the agency is still owned, managed, and operated on a daily basis by Michael, Maria, & Mike. They are joined by long time staff members Eric Judd, Jennifer Pinkston, and Timothy Ante.
