The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Perth Amboy is to provide a safe, secure, clean and quiet community environment, to maintain the property in good condition, offer services and resources to assist in becoming self-sufficient and to ensure the enjoyment of family life, for all residents. It is my hope that all families of our Housing Authority enjoy all the comforts of home. The staff works diligently every day to provide vital services to our families. Whether it is a maintenance repair, providing recreation, assisting with finding employment or transitioning to homeownership, we do it all!

Universal Housing Development Corporation (UHDC) has a 43-year history as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operating in the Second, Third and Fourth Congressional Districts of Arkansas. During this time we have never defaulted on any financial obligation of any type nor been judged unsatisfactory in the completion of program requirements. Although we target low-income individuals, UHDCs programs are available to help anyone who comes to UHDC, whether they are a renter, potential or existing homeowner, disabled, elderly or a member of a minority or ethnic group. What form this assistance will take depends on the eligibility guidelines of each individual program. Helping people, building dreams is more than our motto - it describes what we do. We offer a wide range of programs and services to meet the housing-related needs in our nine-county service area. We help them and their families by providing programs, information and resources that empower them to reach their dreams. We also help by raising awareness through public outreach and media.
