in2cure AB is a biotechnological company developing proprietary anti-endotoxic host defense peptides for prevention and treatment of wound and surgical complications, with a major focus on functionalized biomaterials. in2cure also investigates potential other applications for its technologies. The lead candidate TCP-25, currently in pre-clinical stage, is part of nature´s own powerful host defense mechanisms that are activated during wound healing. TCP-25 is a human derived multifunctional peptide that prevents bacterial infection and reduces complications caused by excessive activation of inflammatory cascades and infections during surgery and wound healing. The unique mechanism of action of TCP-25 allows for strong binding and neutralization of endotoxins, preventing activation of inflammatory pathways. TCP-25 also kills microbes rapidly by membrane lysis. in2cure´s proprietary products were discovered at Lund University by Professor Artur Schmidtchen and his team, with several publications in internationally leading journals.
