John Elijah Richards unintentionally started IGWM in the summer of 2014 out of necessity, with no real name or mission in mind other than to provide a source of income to pay for medical expenses after losing his job, and health benefits, shortly after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Coming from a lowly and desperate state of mind, he decided to take matters in to his own hands and overcome his circumstance - turning to his creative side of life, he started making rings for friends and family to pay for insulin and diabetic supplies. The rest of the story is an outcome of a positive state of mind, and lots of help from loving friends and strangers. Due to the success of the brand, IGWM became a vision. One that couldn’t have been possible without any of the support that was received from family, friends, followers, mentors, and purchases. It couldn’t have been done without YOU. This isn’t just IGWM. It’s all of us. "If there is one thing we’ve learned from this so far, it is that diligence & hard work pay off in the end, no matter what you are doing.
