Founded as Industrial Machine Specialties in 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska, by former high school friends Elmer Wessel and Nick Cusick. In 1985, the desire for product and market diversification led to the establishment of Bison Inc., a name recognized nationwide in the sporting goods equipment industry.
