Impulse helps science and tech researchers develop innovative ideas into viable businesses through structured and personalised entrepreneur-led support. Impulse is an established University of Cambridge entrepreneurship programme that combines personal skills development with tech accelerator mentoring support, guiding participants to assess the strength of their ideas, build credible business plans, expand their networks, and decide their next steps with confidence. Impulse includes: • 24+ hours of personalised mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs and founders • A programme of events, workshops and talks led by entrepreneurs with real-world venture experience • Access to a world-class founder and innovator community through carefully curated networking events Impulse is a three-month, part-time programme, designed to fit around academic and research commitments. It offers time and space to reflect, test assumptions and explore impact pathways, whether through venture creation, collaboration with industry, or other forms of real-world application. Deeply embedded in the world-leading Cambridge innovation and research commercialisation community, Impulse, at the Maxwell Centre, is part of the University of Cambridge’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
