ImprovCon Information

ImprovCon is the convention dedicated to improvisational theater, bringing together performers, theaters, educators, festivals, and fans from around the world for a bold, joyful celebration of unscripted storytelling. Taking place August 20–23, 2026, in San Diego, ImprovCon is a multi-day, in-person gathering featuring workshops, performances, panels, networking, and community-building experiences led by some of the most respected and exciting voices in improv today. Programming encompasses artistic craft, teaching and pedagogy, leadership, diverse styles, youth and family programming, and the evolving future of improvisation. ImprovCon is designed to serve the full improv ecosystem, from students and longtime performers to theater owners, festival producers, scholars, and industry partners. The event emphasizes inclusion, accessibility, collaboration, and play, creating space for learning, connection, and celebration across generations and backgrounds.
