ImpeDx Diagnostics, a start-up medical device company founded in 2013, has secured exclusive rights to develop and market a novel system for rapid detecting bacteria in blood culture specimens for use in clinical laboratories. Our mission is to reduce the mortality rate of septic patients by providing rapid diagnostic products, which will allow clinicians to administer target therapeutic treatments sooner. Our technology compresses blood culture results from days to hours. Not only will rapid identification improve mortality rate, but it will also have a major impact on healthcare savings. We have currently secured non-diluted funding from NIH and the Coulter Foundation, demonstrating outside validation of our core technology.
