Le sue attività riguardano le seguenti tematiche: Efficienza energetica Fonti rinnovabili Nucleare Ambiente e clima Sicurezza e salute Nuove tecnologie Ricerca di Sistema Elettrico. Su queste tematiche l’Agenzia ENEA: esegue attività di ricerca di base, mission oriented e industriale avvalendosi di competenze ad ampio spettro e di impianti sperimentali, laboratori specializzati, strumentazioni avanzate; sviluppa nuove tecnologie e applicazioni avanzate; diffonde e trasferisce i risultati ottenuti favorendone la valorizzazione a fini produttivi; fornisce a soggetti pubblici e privati servizi ad alto contenuto tecnologico, studi, misure, prove e valutazioni; svolge attività di formazione e informazione protese ad accrescere le competenze di settore e le conoscenze del pubblico. L’ENEA mette a disposizione del sistema Paese le sue competenze multidisciplinari e la sua grande esperienza nella gestione di progetti complessi.
