HIGHER STAKEHOLDER EXPECTATIONS ARE DRIVING CHANGE IN NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT... Outcome-based funding...Performance-Based Contracts...Social Return on Investment... Different words that mean the same thing - stakeholders are no longer looking for output measurements (e.g. number of clients served) - they are looking for IMPACT measurements (e.g. how many clients were taken out of homelessness and what percentage remained in housing after 1yr, 2yr or longer). Soft measures are no longer acceptable to receive large dollar funding, whether it is from a government grant or contract, corporate grant or private donors.
