The decision to launch the Italy Myanmar Business Association (IMBA) came from the realization among the members, and in conversations with the Italian Embassy in Myanmar, that on the ground support would be beneficial to the growth of trade and investment relationships between the two countries. At this moment, the relationships between the two countries are positive, but far below what they could be. IMBA wants to become a supporting and reinforcing mechanism for the growing commercial and investment relationships between Myanmar and Italy.
