Since our founding in 1976 as a Christian organization, together we have helped more than 62 million people in countries around the world build their futures on their own terms through access to decent housing. We’ve done that by working alongside people of all walks of life to build, repair and finance their homes, by innovating new ways of building and financing, and by advocating for policies that make constructing and accessing housing easier for everyone. Mercy Housing is working to create a more humane world where poverty is alleviated, communities are healthy and all people can develop their full potential. We believe that affordable housing and supportive programs improve the economic status of residents, transform neighborhoods and stabilize lives. We provide affordable, program-enriched housing to a variety of people across the country, including low-income families, seniors and people with special needs. We acquire and renovate housing, as well as develop new properties. The majority of our homes are rental, but we also offer some homeownership opportunities in various communities.

The Y is Seattle’s founding nonprofit organization, offering health, hope, and opportunity. The mission of the Y is to build a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body. We are an inclusive organization of men, women and children with a shared commitment to nurture the potential of youth, promote healthy living, and foster social responsibility. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We work side-by-side with our neighbors throughout King and south Snohomish counties to help kids and families thrive – and apply their positive behaviors and goals at home, school, the workplace, and beyond at our 13 branches, 2 overnight camps, 10 swimming pools, and more than 200 program sites.
