Imagination Stage is the largest and most respected multi-disciplinary theatre arts organization for young people in the Mid-Atlantic region. We offer a year-round season of professional shows (adult actors performing for families and classes), after-school programs and summer camps for ages 1-18, and arts-integration professional development training for teachers, students, schools, and families. All of our programs are informed by our core belief in making the arts inclusive and accessible to all children, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or financial status.
Young Audiences Arts for Learning is the nation's largest arts-in-education network, serving more than 5 million young people each year.
The National Office of Young Audiences Arts for Learning helps the broad network of Young Audiences affiliates play a decisive role in all young people’s education and development. Young Audiences envisions a future in which the nation’s children and youth will have the opportunity to engage in quality arts learning experiences that nurture creativity, build cultural understanding and enhance the development of their learning and life skills.
Young Audiences Arts for Learning is an association of affiliated organizations that are each dedicated to local education and community development. The YA network collectively works together to impact arts in education practices and policies on a national level.
Young Audiences advocates for the YA network and the arts-in-education field, coordinating national advocacy efforts through a National Young Audiences Week every spring.
Young Audiences connects exceptional teaching artists with teachers to provide in-depth arts residencies that raise academic and artistic achievement, while enhancing and developing learning skills that translate across curriculums.
Discovery Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings the healing power of the arts to children with cancer, serious blood disorders and life threatening illness while they are in the hospital receiving treatment.
Our programs, called "Arts Adventures", are fun, creative adventures in music, art, dance and drama that strengthen children’s emotional health to help them better cope with the tremendous difficulties of their illness. "Arts Adventures" also provide essential, welcome support to the children’s families and to the medical community.
Discovery Arts began as a volunteer effort by Entertainment Industry professionals and was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency in 1998 with the mission to expand the delivery of these experiences to many more children hospitalized throughout southern California. Since then, we have consistently expanded our services and now provide regular programs for the children at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach, Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center at Millers, CHOC Children’s Hospital, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, CHOC at Mission and Mercy Children's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., serving more than 3,500 critically ill children and their families each year.
