Renewable Strategies is a consulting firm that works in the fields of forest product certification, biobased materials, and hemp. We offer assistance, training, internal auditing for (acronym alert) FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative), PEFC (Programmed to Endorse Forest Certification), and SBP (Sustainable Biomass Partnership). Our principal, Douglas Patterson, has been involved in forest certification since the genesis of the idea in the early 1990's and was attendee at the founding meeting of the FSC. He has acted as an external and internal auditor and consultant since 1999 and has conducted well over 1,000 assessments and audits.
