Illumivation Studios was forced to close in 2021. I thank all of our clients, vendors, and most of all the artists who's tireless effort made Illumivation what it was. The lessons learned through the decade of challenging projects are still in the capable minds of past Illumivation staff and I encourage you to reach out to them directly for future work opportunities. - Mike Dunbar Illumivation was originally created to advance innovation in theatrical lighting, sound, & scenic design, but quickly found its footing in industries such as marketing, retail displays, and museums in addition to professional theater and film. As the team has grown, adding sculptors, metal fabricators, designers, and programmers, we moved from a tiny Chicago apartment to a larger space where we could stretch out a bit. Once we outgrew that space, we switched to our current 10,000 sq. ft. location in Chicago’s artistic Pilsen neighborhood. Now, after five years of business, we’ve developed a reputation of creating innovative designs and beautifully finished products. As a company, we are constantly looking to expand our capabilities and push clients into new and exciting directions in OOH media, visual merchandising, theater & film, and museum displays.
