Illinois workNet® is the state’s workforce development portal connecting individuals, employers, workforce and education partners to resources and tools to meet goals in employment, education, community, and statewide initiatives. Through partnerships and innovative technology, workforce development resources help expand economic opportunities. Illinois workNet is a one-stop-shop for local and geographic tailored information, career-building and planning, employment resources through onsite partnerships and technology, layoff assistance, partner training, and a network of locations throughout your community. With a mission to bring seamless and real-time access to workforce development resources, Illinois workNet was launched in 2005 by the Governor’s Illinois Workforce Investment Board (IWIB). The IWIB continues to remain involved providing leadership as Illinois workNet expands. Illinois workNet is sponsored by Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity and made possible through state, local, and private sector partnerships.
