Radon is the second leading cause of Lung Cancer, which comes from the natural decomposition of Uranium in Soil, Clay, Rock, etc. Becuase of this, all buildings have some levels of Radon Alpha Particles. The only way to know the levels inside the structure, is to test the air concentrations for a 48 hour period. Any levels above 4.0 pCi/l (Pico Curis Per Liter of Air) are considered elevated and remediation would be recommended, to bring down the levels.
