Illinois Engineering Collaborative, P.C. is a full-service mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design firm, founded in 2016. Our company was started to meet a demand in the marketplace that is currently unmet. While there are a handful of successful, and reputable MEP firms from which to choose in the Central Illinois area, there is not a firm setup to handle small to medium-sized projects, in a streamlined and cost-effective way. We are. We pride ourselves in being able to see big picture, to understand the perspectives of owners, contractors, suppliers, and our internal staff. In understanding all parties’ incentives, and in collaborating, we deliver quality projects – on time, on budget, and without unnecessary frills. One might note, that as we grow, we run the risk of creating the same void we currently propose to fill. Given the nature of the company, and the expectation of collaboration across multiple disciplines, trades, and offices - this may not happen. We are looking to rethink what it means to be a company, how a company markets its capabilities, and to change the current perceptions one may have when seeking the services of a professional. We are free agents, to use a sports analogy, collaborating with other such agents. Sure, we’d like to gain the trust and loyalty of as many qualified professionals as possible, and all work “under the same roof.” However, that isn’t always necessary, or even practical. Our company philosophy focuses on pride in ownership, humility, and service. There is no internal hierarchy, aside from the minimal necessary to establish goals, assign responsibilities and maintain our overall focus. We shall aim to pay the highest salaries in the industry, to have the highest retention rate, to provide (extensive) on-the-job training, and to be an integral part of our local community.
