Ikhono Group is a synergy of creating opportunities, encouraging growth and creating a supportive structure among the relevant companies of the group in the Construction sector. Through this teamwork black empowerment is also advanced and supported. The group consisting of Ikhono Projects, Ikhono Techni, Ikhono Construction and Ikhono Plant forms a supportive environment among the companies to share opportunities and risks and to develop together. Experience and overhead costs are herewith shared to assist to manage contracting in the very competitive construction environment. Ikhono Projects, recently restructured, emerging in the civil engineering sector aims to expand into specialized civil works and the building industry. The vision is to be competitive in any project in the built environment. Ikhono Projects is now a Level 1 BBEEE and has already progressed to CIDB gradings of 6CE PE and 4 GB PE and has also joined the Master Builders Association of South Africa and is registered with NHBRC. Ikhono Techni, a successful product of the EME development structures of the Metro, has joined hands with some experienced construction managers and have grown substantially to a CIDB level 7CE PE construction company. Ikhono Techni is striving to become a competitive force in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and to expand further as opportunities are afforded. Ikhono Construction who has performed various subcontractor works is a 100% black owned company giving opportunity to some of our staff to expand their technical knowledge and business understanding. With steady growth and experience gained the next step will be to tender as principal contractors, having built the company to a level 3CE PE CIDB grading already. Ikhono Plant is a growing plant hire concern which complements the construction companies within Ikhono Group.
